There’s a new modern sports bar coming to town! The Tavern on the Trax will be opening just over the railroad tracks on North College Street.

Are you looking for a cool place to get good food, watch the game and enjoy a refreshing drink? Hopefully, in the coming months you will be able to do all three at The Tavern on the Trax in downtown Auburn!
The soon-to-be sports bar and grill will be where locals and visitors were once able to enjoy good barbecue. First, the location was Mike & Ed’s Bar-B-Que before it was Rob’s Ribs briefly.
Now, owners Kaleigh and Dipam Patel hope to create a space for both the younger and older crowds in town. According to a recent article, there will be both indoor and outdoor seating.
However, the vibe inside versus outside will be a little different. Inside diners can have a seat at a table or the full-service bar. Craft cocktails, specialty drinks and more will be available inside.
On the other hand, outside guests can enjoy an ice-cold brew from the beer-only outdoor bar.
The menu
Of course, all guests can order from The Tavern on the Trax’s kitchen. The Tavern’s menu includes appetizers, wings, salads, burgers and sandwiches. Customers can start with shareables such as loaded fries or wings.
Loaded fries, for example, will feature house cut fries with either beer cheese or cheddar jack. Then the fries will be “loaded” with bacon, tomatoes, onions and jalapeno peppers served with a side of house-made ranch.
As for the wings, they come in a variety of quantities and flavors. You order six wings, a dozen, two dozen or 50! Flavors range from the usual like mild to the more unique like dill pickle. Click here to see the full menu.
Location
The Tavern on the Trax is located at 307 N. College St. While no official opening date has been given, their regular hours have been provided.
As of now, the restaurant plans on opening five days a week at 11 a.m. On Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, they will close at 9 p.m. For Friday and Saturday, closing time will be 10 p.m.
