Good news, Auburn! What was once home to a health food supermarket will soon be the location of HomeGoods in Auburn in the current Flint’s Crossing shopping center across from the Auburn Mall.
What we know
According to recent reports, the Auburn City Council recently approved a projected $3.9 million rebranding of the current Flint’s Crossing shopping center.
Flint’s Crossing is located on the southeast intersection of Opelika Road and East University Drive across from the Auburn Mall.
Part of the rebranding includes a name change to “The Plains” as well as a new anchor retail tenant. HomeGoods in Auburn is slated to fill the 22,000-square-feet of vacant space left by the closing of Earth Fare in 2020.
While no tentative opening date has been announced, we do know the home furnishing chain will be a welcome addition to our local market!
Shoppers will be able to “go finding” and score home décor items ranging from furniture to throw pillows at affordable prices.
Other popular items carried by the store include linens, wall art, cookware, dinnerware, outdoor and indoor décor and much more.
